FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
EUGENE, OR – July 27, 2018
FCR, the premier provider of outsourced live agent call center and business process solutions, announced today that it has successfully raised funds in support of a local Grants Pass nonprofit known as Operation Rambo.
Operation Rambo is a non-profit organization that helps veterans pay for the cost of medications, surgery, and other treatments needed for their service animals. For many, the costs associated with those medical needs can mean the difference between life and death for dogs who provide essential services to veterans. The organization also raises and trains animals to provide to service members at little or no cost. Operation Rambo is named after Rambo, a German Shepherd service dog who is thriving today after surgery made possible by the generosity of the local community.
Colleagues from FCR’s Grants Pass location raised more than $1,200 for the organization through the sale of cotton candy and Freeze Pops along with selling chances to sink their Supervisor, Manager, and Site Director in a dunk tank of water at an event held recently on July 25th.
“Our goal was to raise $500, but we were able to exceed our own expectations” said Scott Fessler, Grants Pass Site Director for FCR. “This is such a worthy cause, and we love Operation Rambo’s mission to support disabled veterans by providing service animals and veterinary care.” He continued, “We were pleased to host both Rambo and Dude at our call center and to have them meet with all of our colleagues earlier this month. They really helped raise the awareness of how important these dogs are to veterans and I think it helped generate a lot of support and excitement for our fundraiser.”
“We love it when our colleagues get involved in helping their local communities and charitable causes,” said Ruth McCullen, Vice President of Operational Excellence for FCR. “We’re very proud of the commitment and care our colleagues have for Operation Rambo, and for the efforts of our Grants Pass team.”
Operation Rambo is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and is currently in the process of raising startup funds, seeking out grants, planning events, and is building community partnerships with other local non-profits who help animals and veterans alike.
