The fundraising efforts were led by the company’s Community Alliance Teams, which partners with local, regional, and national organizations and charities in an effort to give back to communities and causes. The March of Dimes helps give hope to nearly half a million babies born prematurely each year. The money raised in the annual March for Babies events supports programs that help mothers have healthy, full-term pregnancies. It also funds medical research to help find answers to the various health-related problems that threaten infants like: premature birth, oral cleft birth defects, congential heart disease, spinal disorders, lung developement, and vision defects.

“The March of Dimes is a wonderful organization that we are proud to support and volunteer our time to,” said Katheryn Carnahan, COO of FCR. “Each year nearly 1 in 9 babies in the United States are born prematurely, and worldwide that number is as high as 15 million. So this is an issue that affects us all, and FCR is happy to help in any way we can.” She added, “One of the things the March of Dimes Foundation staff and volunteers do is to work with every state to play an important role in improving maternal and child health in their local communities. They help assess local maternal and child health needs and then plan, fund, and implement programs to improve the health of mothers, infants, and children in the local area.”
